When it comes to reducing your environmental impact, there are two main options: certified carbon credits and voluntary carbon offsetting. Both have their pros and cons, so it’s important to understand which is right for you. Certified Carbon Credits involve the purchase of a specific number of emissions reductions from an approved project that has been verified by an independent third-party organization. The credits are then retired in order to reduce overall greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in the atmosphere.
